Eligibility Requirements for Licensing

After completing your 20+10 hours of online BDE course & 10 Hours of IN-CAR Sessions, you receive an MTO Certificate. The MTO Certificate qualifies you for:

• Being able to do the G2 Road Test in 8 months after receiving the G1 License
• Auto Insurance for BDE-certified drivers can be as much as 40% lower.

• Ontario's Graduated Licensing System allows new drivers to gain driving experience and skills gradually.
• Two-Step Licensing Process
  • New drivers start with their first car or motorcycle license and enter the graduated licensing system.
  • The process includes two road tests and takes at least 20 months to complete.

1. Eligibility Requirements:

• To apply for a license, you must be at least 16 years old, pass a vision test, and pass a test of your knowledge of the rules of the road and traffic signs.

2. Licensing Levels

• After passing the tests, you start at Level One with a Class G1 license.
• Passing two road tests moves you to Level Two (Class G2), and the second test grants full Class G driving privileges.
